Default Dion Guitars, three on the bench.

Hey forum folks! I'm in the very early stages of a three new builds. Thanks in advance for following the builds.

I've been itching to get going on these new guitars but promised myself I'd tie up the loose ends around the shop before I begin the very enjoyable task of choosing materials. Here are a couple pieces I'm looking at. Not sold on anything yet though.

Spending the evening digging through soundboard material. What a pleasant task!

Another great day and night in the shop. Almost all the parts are made. Soon I'll be into assembly.

For those of you on the forum who don't follow me on instagram, I'll throw this out here. I've always been crazy about solid mahogany acoustics, they've just got so much style. Anyways, I've got some really light, really old Honduran mahogany, light enough to make a great soundboard. I'm keen to make a Mahogany guitar in my newest shape but hesitant, as in my experience and from what I've been told from dealers, solid mahogany guitars can be hard to sell. But picture it, this beautiful wood/colour combo but in this style. If anyone on the forum is interested let me know, I'll even swing a price break, That's how badly I want to build this guitar!

Backs and soundboards are joined and cut to shape. I'm certain I'll be using the cocobolo and the Honduran Mahogany. Still deciding on soundboards, I'll likely use the Lutz on the left with the mahogany and the engleman on the right with the cocobolo.
