Default Question about David Wilcox "Eye of the Hurricane"

Not sure if this is a appropriate place for this question but..... Re: this song. I know it's referring to a motorcycle (also the girl's life of course), specifically a Hurricane. Does anyone know which maker he is referring to? Triumph? I always like to throw out a bit of back story when I give my students a song like this. thanks! Gene

This song was released in 1989. Did Honda make that model back then?

The Triumph came out in 1972, I think. Hard to say....but the Triumph has no place to hide.

The Honda does.

It was a Honda - actually used it for a commercial at the time.

That was back when I was fortunate to hang around David a bit.

HI guys

The point of the song is not the brand of the motorcycle…if it were it would have been made more plain.

OP was asking for "a bit of a back story" not claiming that it is the point of the song.

HI Mr. Paul…

I've seen David Wilcox live several times, and attended workshops he's given as well, and when he told the story, the make of the motorcycle never came into the dialogue (or Q&A).

I'm not sure what the backstory is…
