What about something like this? I'm buying one to hold my mixer and laptop so I can record my session.

I'm actually glad you posted, I need one for my house as a laptop table. Looks like a bargain. But I don't like the white for stage and it's likely too large for stage.

There is a smaller version:

Also, you can buy black spray paint specifically for plastic.

It is large for almost every venue I've played (bars mainly). The link went to its large version, 30 X 20 inches, the smaller one is 26 X 18 IIRC.

Or, a piece of black fabric draped over it would be fast and easy.

This is what I use. The top is removable and all mic cords fit through the holes.

I suppose that's about as good as anything!

Rockjam Keyboard Stand.
$29.99 delivered from Amazon. Very sturdy and light.

Decades ago we use to use a waiter stand, something like this:

https://www.amazon.com/American-Meta...gateway&sr=8-1

The item linked is about $30. Amazon has others nearly half that price.

Thanks for posting this. I have a keyboard stand (we loaned the keyboard to my wife's niece and never got it back) and a scrap piece of shelving and now I have a mixer stand that cost me pretty much nothing!
