SCGC Tony Rice Pro
I once again have my SCGC Tony Rice Pro up for sale from my private collection of guitars. I have found that I am not playing dreadnought guitars as often as I use to. I have a new custom guitar finished and need to make room so this one needs to go.
The guitar is in mint condition circa 2000. The old growth Brazilian Rosewood is outstanding and the German Spruce top is gorgeous. The guitar looks and plays great. It comes in it's original case. Hear is a quick description right from the horses mouth. The Tony Rice Professional Model has been refined to offer the same specifications as used on Mr. Rice’s personal guitar. Old growth Brazilian Rosewood of the quality seen in the best vintage instruments and European Spruce chosen from master stock from the Italian/Swiss border are the materials of choice. To enhance the play ability, a shorter (25.25 inch) scale and Tony’s slim neck profile provide fast and effortless action. The heirloom tone woods and intelligent design make this instrument the quintessential blue grass guitar. Asking price now reduced to $8450 plus shipping Partial Trade offers considered. Of all the guitars I’ve bought and sold over the last few years, the TR Pro with a German Spruce is the one I wish I still had in the collection. They are superb guitars in every way and the German Spruce top makes it a very versatile guitar. GLWTS

This is one of the best dreads on the planet. The tone and playability on these are simply awesome. Note the slightly shorter scale length of 25.25” and the enlarged soundhole which reduces bass boom and increases the midrange.

There's a few things I think I know and there's a few things I know. We will just talk about what I know right now. The tony rice pro and the clarence white HD-28 are the best two dreds ever made. Its not just what you can't see, it is that AND the large sound hole, and the tonewoods. THAT TOGETHER BLOWS ALL OTHER DREDS OUT OF THE BOAT. dale look beyond the trees

Wow, what a phenomenal guitar. I think you consider issuing a warning to the new owner that the neighbors might complain about the noise. It is surely a canon!

Tony Rice Pro
I am pleasantly surprised by the positive interest in my Tony Rice Pro.
I am very easy to deal with and as stated earlier, I am open to trades. I do have to say I am not interested in Taylor guitars as trade offers but Martin, Gibson,SCGC and many others, including Boutique offerings always interest me. The guitar is still available at this time so keep those trade offers coming. I can also provide many references upon request. |

This model new lists at sixteen two. $16,200 that is.
The smart buy is used for one not abused. I'm a poet and I know it cause my feet are long fellows. Somebody stop me. Seriously folks, this is a great guitar and I would love to see it go someone who will appreciate it. Remember, I will consider trades. |
