This has been one of the more fascinating build threads I've seen. A great story so far. Right now is like starting the last chapter of a fabulous book where you kind of know what the ending will be but is still full of suspense. What a very special guitar.

Very generous sharing of information by all involved -- thank you! Wonderful design and build quality. While this instrument is way, way more decorated than anything I would pick -- just a matter of personal taste -- everything is executed beautifully. What I love, love, love has nothing to do with visuals -- it's the initial phrase "deep bodied OM." I just love guitars of this size with a bit more depth than the shallow Martins. This nails it. Also, that bridge is reminiscent of one of the most beautiful features of Guilds -- the bridge shape. On yours -- perfect. It's wonderful to see this collaboration, to see the attention toe every detail, and to see the quality of execution. If something is going to be fancy, it's really got to be made wonderfully, or it just looks glitzy rather than beautiful. Wow!

Frettingflyer, Steve, Godfather, and Misters Paul and Fingers, heart-felt thanks. You guys have made my day. It won't be long before Dennis can pick a few notes for us. We got the bridge on yesterday and the neck on today. Not. Long. Now.

Thanks guys for your comments and for following along this incredible journey. It has truly been a joy to work with Steve and Ryan on this guitar. I can say for sure there is a part of each of us in there. Kinda what makes it so special. Don't want to leave Larry out. He really made our fretboard and headstock come to life.
The guys sent me some new pics which I will post tomorrow evening. Work has been crazy but I promise ... some amazing pictures tomorrow.

I'm late to this thread but this is a beautiful guitar. Love a deep body OM and the wood choices are great. Congrats!

Lovely all around! And I agree with Mr. Fingers about the COOL bridge shape which I also LOVE.
I asked John K if he would do one for me, but he did not want to tread on toes... Perhaps a bit of begging would yield permission next time? Anyway a lovely LOVELY axe and going to a super nice guy! Enjoy!!! Cheers Paul

You folks on the forum are the best. Such devout lovers of all things guitar. I appreciate your kinds words very much. It is always very nice to hear from you and it is an honor and a privilege to share this journey with you.
Here we are ... the home stretch! The guitar is back in the hands of the masters in Texas sporting an amazing sunburst thanks to Tony. Fantastic job! Now comes the finishing touches. Some gorgeous silking in the Italian Spruce shining through the burst. ![]() Steve describes a technique of placing a piece of paper under the fretboard extension when it is glued on. This aids in removing the fretboard if the guitar should need a neck reset in the future. I am tickled to see they have used a piece with Tom's Irish inlay on it. I will always have part of his guitar with me! ![]() And here, with Alessi tuning machines installed, is my headstock sporting the amazing torch by Larry Robinson. As Steve has said, gazing at this always makes one smile! ![]() And finally a couple shots of the neck being glued in place. The fretboard looks so nice! The theme has come together and really works! WooHoo! ![]() And the bridge shape is one for the ages. Love it! ![]() Next stop ... let's string this sweet thing up and hear her sing!

It was stunning in the white but under finish it's real eye candy! I can't wait to hear how it sounds.

I have been looking at this set of photos over and over again. I cannot find the words to describe the unique beauty of this guitar...so I will just keep staring at every intricate detail while drooling on my keyboard.

Guitar brothers for life buddy! Love it. Kinda fitting since it was my Kinnaird SJ that got your guitar juices jonesing for your own Kinnaird. Too bad they had to cover that up in my opinion hahaha... could have just glued it on top of the fret board extension where it belongs!!!!
This guitar and the prototype Kinnaird OO model have really started to change my life long dismissal of the burst. These are both so nice, maybe there will be a burst in my future... CAN NOT wait to hear this strung up and get your impressions. I for one have no doubt this will be a world class stunner.... Tom

Thanks everyone for the kind comments. It is fun to walk into the shop and see this guitar reclining on the bench. Will be hard to let it go, Dennis!
