Nice find!
If you've ever been to Wintergrass in WA state, you will see a strong youth contingent both carrying forward traditions and creating their own in acoustic music. It's a great reminder that there are people at all times doing something outside of the pop music scene, and many of them are amazingly young.

Just discovered this thread, and am updating it. My son goes to school with the mandolin player (the fiddle player graduated last year) and gigs with him.
