Saints clinched NFC south last night, looking strong for the playoffs.

I agree, it's pretty difficult. But, if they lose to Philly, their chances of capturing the Division are reduced substantially. According to all the probability predictors, that's the key game.

The long-anticipated Ravens/49s game is going to get ruined by bad weather. Too, bad; this could have been a great game.

17-14 at half for Baltimore. I'm rooting for both teams to lose but given that the Ravens are only 1 game back of the Pats for first in the conference, and they own the tiebreaker ... rooting for 49ers.

Patriots playing a poor game against the Texans ... or perhaps I should say the Texans are playing a great game. 14-3 at the half. Patriots' passing offense is terrible.

There’s nothing special about Texans game. Pats offense is just the worst I’ve seen in a very long time.

Patriots down 21-3 now. It doesn't look like they will pull out of this spin.

28-22 Houston with about 0:50 left in the game. Unreal.

That being said, I'm glad the Steelers showed up to play in the 2nd quarter today. It could have been much worse.

I stopped watching the game after the Texans scored that td late on the third. Looks like the pats kinda woke up but ran out of time.

I would like to think they woke up, but the Texans went in to prevent D which prevents you from winning.

Although they did hold on.

As a Pats fan, hopefully it gave them some confidence though. They need a spark even if it's an artificial one.

Well we all know the real season starts in January. But if they keep losing and the bills keep winning, then we might see a Patriots team that fails to make it to the playoffs for the first time in over ten years.

The win by the Ravens was really impressive against a 49ers team that's the real deal. I live in the area, and the weather was absolutely terrible. I don't know how it was possible to play competent football in that combination of sleet and freezing rain. I was out in it, and I could barely walk. The game could have been a real injury nightmare, but it wasn't. That final clock-eating drive was almost Patriots-like in its ability to chew up both clock and yards at the same time. It was a wonderful exhibition of good coaching and crisp execution.

It was a good final 5 minutes. That last onside kick almost ... almost.

I don't understand why the Texans pulled out that trick play for their last TD. They were already ahead by 2 scores late in the game. I thought they would have held on to that play for another time.
