Default Jack white buys a busker a new guitar after it was smashed.

Cool story.

I'm officially old: I had to Google Jack White to find out about his music. A lovely gesture - Bravo.

Cool! But did he get a strat or an acoustic? Maybe I skimmed it too much.

Both, it seems. A Strat from Jack and Gofundme for an acoustic - that's the way I read it anyways...

Bravo Jack!
I have friends that work with and are friends of Jack White and frequently speak of his generosity and kindness. Way to go Jack!

He chose a Fender Custom Shop Stratocaster.

"Flashforward one kid in a candy shop later testing as many guitars as possible and I settle on a #custommade #fenderstratocaster.

That’s very nice to hear! I know nothing about him personally, I can say he puts on an amazing show and I hope to see him play again.

This is an interesting story. Besides Jack White buying him a guitar, he set up a go-fund-me to try and replace his £300 Sigma, and it took off and is currently at £4,196! Plus he has gotten a lot of positive attention and exposure.

So while I can't say this was an entirely good experience, in the end it might be one of the best things that have happened to him as a busker.

I'll be so disappointed if I find out they were in on it together (which I really don't think).
