I stopped wearing pajamas at about age 9.
I can't sleep with something wrapped around my legs or torso. I toss and turn and they get caught up in the sheets so it's skivvies only for me. I do have some long pajama pants that I wear around the house but they come off at bedtime.

I never used to like pajamas, mostly because I had to wear onesies when I was very small and hated having clammy feet. So that distant memory put me off them for decades, until I noticed that I’d sometimes wake up shivering (probably in the fall, still sleeping with just a sheet), and if I wore pajamas to avoid being cold, I wouldn’t get a cold. It’s a similar story with air conditioning in the summer and making sure to have a sheet or something when napping on the couch.
