Use it well, often, and - as if anyone needs to be told when it comes to Marshall - LOUD...

Here it is. Wow! Marshall did a great job with the DSL reissue. I wanted the 20w version when it came out but couldn't find one locally to try out first.

Looking forward to your review. I've never seen the cream one before.

I played it at the local GC and put $200 down on it, I'll have the rest of the cash by Tuesday and bring it home.

First Impressions was it has a great tone, can be extremely loud and powerful sounding, and as with all tube amps, heavy as hell. I like the two channel format and foot switch. It'll sit in one spot in my home studio for a long time, so the weight issue isn't a problem....for gigging I'd stick with my Fender Tone Master Deluxe Reverb. Much lighter. I didn't have to play it for long before I decided to buy it, it just sounded that good. It'll make a great matching companion amp for the Tone Master.

I already have a Marshall Head and a homemade 212 cabinet, but it looks like crap next to this beauty.

Thanks for posting such a great picture !!!!

I bought this amp mainly for recording at home. I was taught the secret to making great sounding mix and recordings, is to start at the source. If the original performance sounds great, that should carry thru the recording process. If the original performance sounds weak or is lacking good tone, that too will carry thru out the recording. So in my mind when buying an amp or guitar or mic, that is not the time to be cheap. This amp should make excellent recordings.

Sweeeeeet... Congratulations!

I have an older DSL40c. Swapped in a Celestion Creamback and it’s one of my favorite amps.

Another reason I jumped on buying this amp, is that they are very hard to find in this area, GC only had one in stock, and I didn't want it going to someone else. Around here things sell out fast. For instance I just bought a computer chair for my studio, it's an executive chair, a really nice one for $220. They had three of them. two day later they were sold out. At other stores it's a $400 chair, It's a good thing I jumped on it...... got to get it while you can.

It looks like it's tubed out like a Vox amp. It should sing.

You're getting a great collection of gear! I'm sure the Epi sounds sweet though it. How do you like it?
