Default Showing right now on youtube

Big Night at the museum--The museum being at the country music hall of fame. All the singers are playing guitars donated by country music singers and writers. Gorgeous guitars, beautiful music, a chance to help the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum by making a donation. This is live. I don't know if it will stay up on youtube.

Default Big night at the museum

Not sure this is the place to post but lots guitars to discuss.
Tonight on YouTube there was a show of famous rare guitars and other instruments being played for the first time in a long time by great well known musicians at the country music hall of fame what a treat.

Weell this old Englishman has just watched the whole programme, some great acts, and some very special performers and their instruments shown and played.

So, just for the fun of it, imagine the CMHOF lets you in and shows you all these instruments and then some miracle happens and they say that you can have one of the instruments -so here's the list shown:

1. John Prine's ................... David Russell Young made guitar
2. Jimmie Rodger's ............. Weymann
3. Boudleaux Bryant's .......... Martin 016NY
4. Bill Monroe's .................. Gibson F5 mandolin
5. Earl Scruggs' .................. Gibson Granada banjo
6. Lester Flatt's .................. Martin D28
7. Johnny Cash's ................ Martin D35-S (customised)
8. Keith Whitley's ................ C.W. Parsons Guitar
9. Randy Travis' ................. Gibson J185
10. Guy Clark's .................. Guy Clark made gut strung guitar (No.8 ..given to Rodney Crowell)
11. Loretta Lynn's .............. Gibson J50
12. Baldwin piano played by Dr john and Ronnie Milsap
13. Maybelle Carter's ...........Gibson L-5.

The deal is that you cannot sell it !
So, which one would you pick?
...and why?

The video appears to remain available. Isn't this the event where musicians are playing the guitars in the museum?

Hi, there's a similar thread going on currently called "Big night at the Museum".

I've listed the instruments shown/played and asked which one you'd take home.

Thanks for doing this.
I’ll take that C.W. Parsons please.
( and if you want to throw in Tim McGraw’s voice for me that works too.)

Thanks Silly Moustache.I'll play. I'll be the proud owner of Jimmy Rodger's Weymann guitar (I had to look this one up). And I'll post photos on the Forum.

Okay Silly, I will play along. Just finished watching the whole show. I'll take the C. W. Parsons guitar, please. Why? Just look at it! It is stunningly gorgeous. Sounds beautiful too.

Huge props to unaccompanied Reba McEntire, singing Patsy Cline’s “Sweet Dreams”. Made my little ol’ acapella lovin' heart swoon.

Had to giggle when Ashley McBrye asked if it was wrong to want to sniff Loretta Lynn’s guitar. There seem to be a few scent threads on this forum lately.
