Default hard case for parlor (O size) guitar

I'm looking for the best, most bang for the buck, strongest, lightest hard case I can find for the new parlor guitar I've commissioned from Steve Chipman. Any recommendations will be appreciated.

Send a note to [email protected] and ask if they have a hardshell case for O size guitars. If they do, get the part number and you can order through a Martin dealer. I did this to get a hard case for my SC13E that they sell with a gig bag.

Most commissioned guitars come with a case. Are you sure you will need one, that he isn't providing it?

This case fits a Yamaha CSF Parlor too.

Interesting to see the Gator 3/4 case. But I like the lightness and tossability of the CSF in its gig bag. And it fits on the floor behind the seat of even a small car.

That’s right - normally it’s the luthier’s responsibility to provide a case. Is this parlor guitar something he normally doesn’t build?

TKL makes 2 parlor hard shell cases—an arched case and a flat one. My Larrivee parlor fit the case just fine. So does my antique Washburn.

First of all, welcome as a poster!

I had not heard of Steve Chipman so I looked him up and found his amazing business in restoring old parlour guitars - http://vintageparlorguitars.com/

Some good ideas for reasonably-priced cases above. For more money, Visesnut do great cases with adjustable internal padding, and the nicest Ameritage case I have ever seen was for a parlour guitar. Out of these two the Visesnut wins hands down for lightness.
