Tweezers for a Set-up!
So I settled down to do a set-up on my new-to-me D-18. I'm a fairly heavy handed flatpicker so I had set the relief (0.007" at the 7th fret under the 4th string) got the nut slots to the right depth - and I had a bridge shaped up at a 14" radius ready to start fitting/height adjusting.
So I loosened the strings and took out the bridge pins. The 5th string pin was a little stiff so I slid my puller under it and "ping" it shot out across the room and under the gap between the skirting board and the floor! I had to go and find my long tweezers and a torch and fish the darn thing out from under the wall. First time that's ever happened. LOL! Anyway, the set-up is done now and all is good. I'll give everything a few days playing to settle and then re-check.
