... actually the coffee at Fivebucks tastes like licking ash trays.

And I refuse to say those pretentious words.
I'll call the sizes small, medium, and large - thank you very much.
... and when I say medium I don't care to be corrected, subjugated, and trained.

What the heck do they do to their coffee to make it taste so bad anyway? Man, that is some NASTY tasteing “coffee” for sure. I think Macdonald’s makes a pretty darn good cup of Joe myself, and the price is right.

The three key factors in coffee flavor are species/origin of the coffee cherries, the temp/duration of the roast, and the temp/duration of the brewing of the coffee itself. The biggest factor here is the roast itself.

The characteristically "burned" or "bitter" flavor of Starbucks is mostly on account of their longer, higher temperature roast.

I like it. I'm not a starbucks addict or anything, but I like that bold, in-your-face bitter flavor. McDonalds coffee is far too flaccid and lame for my tastes - but it's much better than having NO coffee...

You hate the coffee, the place, and the policies... sounds like complaining just to complain.

What’s next, “get off my lawn”?

McDonald's coffee is great.

I heard (not sure) that they changed roasters.

I love Tim Horton's (eh?). Well I heard when BK bought TH, they changed roasters. It's ok, not as great as before and I don't like their food anymore. But McDonald's apparently picked up their former roaster. I actually love McD coffee.

I've never been to a Starbucks....my Keurig coffee maker does just fine. Never owned an smart phone either....my flip phone does exactly what I need it to do.

I guess I'd be lost in a designer coffee shop.

Although I've been to Starbucks several times, you otherwise sound like my brother (or sister) from a different mother....

So if Fonzie was still around, would he move his office from Al's to Starbucks? And if so, would it be in the dining area or in the bathroom?
