Default NBA Playoffs anyone?

Conference finals are set:
Celtics vs Cavs
Warriors vs Rockets

I've got the Celtics beating Houston in 7.

That's bold, could be. I hope it's Warriors over Celtics in 7. Or 4. Either is fine.

Warriors over Cavs in 5. The champ is still the champ. Perhaps the best team I've ever seen. Don't let their late-season record fool you--they were resting for just this.

Go Celtics! In addition to being a Boston sports fan I also don't want to see LeBron make it to the finals.

Yeah, he bugs. Rooting for the Celtics big time.

Houston’s chances just took a major hit.

Celts fan here, so I'm biased towards the Celts. They really do have an amazing team this year. This playoff run is impressive without Gordon and Kryie. Brad is an amazing coach.

GS might sweep Houston... that series is done.

Meh. I tune out whenever the Bulls are eliminated (or don't even get in). Same thing with the Stanley Cup if the Blackhawks aren't in it. NCAA March Madness was emotionally exhausting, right down to Loyola's (literally my neighborhood school--our house used to belong to the chairman of their English Dep't.) dispiriting semifinal loss.

Though I have lots of New England friends, and just came back from a short vacay in Boston (which hasn't had a title in forever and deserves one after two years of Snowpocalypse), our son's girlfriend is from Houston, sooo....

Cavs are in a heap of trouble. I love it.

No. Can't get excited when the playoffs seemingly take months. Too much time. Maybe if they were single-elimination tournaments.

Awesome team effort/team defense by the Celtics tonight. I think the Cavs win 1 at home but the Celtics are in their heads. We want Harden!

Must win game for Cleveland tonight. Does Lebron bring full effort?

My take is he wants out of Cleveland. He'll give it some effort, but if others don't show up, he won't go overboard and be content losing so he can use this as an excuse that he has no other help in Cleveland and go to another team. Of course, trying to win the game by himself and still losing will also accomplish this. Either way, I don't think he'll be trying too hard to win this series at this point.

Cleveland has an early 17-4 lead at the moment. I'm watching the score flash on my laptop but I actually have the NHL game on.

Let's go Celtics!

So acoustic guitars go better with hockey than hoops?

Anyway, Celts recover from a 2 game curb stomping in Cleveland to win at home and go up 3-2. Meanwhile Rockets/Warriors tied 2-2. Has Le Bron seen his last finals appearance
? Can the Rockets really beat GS?

Is it Friday yet!?!?!?

I've been trying to watch some of it, but find myself clicking over to the NHL if they're on at the same time, and often they have been.

The NBA has some issues. Those shady referees Foster and Brothers that they send in when they need to extend a series would be a prime example. It's an absolute disgrace that Foster is still in the league.

Also, the first half of most games barely matters much (of course whoever has "won" the first quarter in the Celts/Cavs series has won the game, which is flipping this upside down). Visiting teams shut it down and don't even try way too often. If the game is close in the last 2 minutes, you might as well plan on staying glued to the screen for 45 or 50 more minutes, because that's how long it will get dragged out. I could go on, but I won't. And I'm actually trying to watch some of these games, I can only imagine how quickly a neutral observer tunes out.
