My Pedal board for acoustic shows...Post yours!
So this is the rig i use for my shows.
Would love to see others! If anyone has any ideas on ways i could get a different sound let me know! Thanks!! You gotta admit, if you think about it: "My pedal board for acoustic shows...", followed by all this decidedly non-acoustic stuff... It obviously strikes the funnybone in some of us. Sorry if my joshing offended you. I'll play... My pedal board (sans board) for acoustic shows consists of a K&K Pure XLR Preamp and Morley Volume Plus volume/boost/mute pedal. |

I'm pretty much with Dave on this one. I use a Radial PZ-Deluxe and sometimes a pedal tuner. If I'm playing both acoustic and electric I'll run through the tuner>wah>overdrive>delay>chorus>A/B which splits to the electric amp or to the PZ-Deluxe. The only reason I do all that is to use the tuner for both guitars. I think that effects have their place but I use them very sparingly and, I hope, only if they serve the song.

I too like effects on my acoustic, Jdees! I'm planning on adding a phase shifter after I rework my present board to get some real estate. Not a great pic (I snapped it with my phone under poor lighting). The Presonus is mounted to a hinged plexiglass plate which allows the Acousti-Q to sit flat or angled up at the player, but secures it firmly to the pedalboard for travel. The A.R.T. V3 is mainly to take the edge off the digital reverb and to provide different coupling options to the house PA.

Jdees, I, too, love an acoustic with effects at times. I used to use a Yamaha MagicStomp II AG for some different tonal options. I don't use much of anything these days except my TChelicon Harmony-G XT and with minimal effects. (LOL, so my "board" would be a shot of that pedal!) :P Ha...acoustic?
 Once we pop a mic in front, piezo...humbucker...or other element onboard...that acoustic is converting the audio to a voltage for amplification (or recording) and, for all intent, is an "electrified guitar". Or...how many times do we see an "unplugged" event where there's a PA being utilized. THAT's a little more irony, dontcha think?

Yeah i understand KYdave... but my band goes off 3 acoustics and a drummer.
We all use effects and everything comes together. I do believe there are no limits on what you can do with your guitar. http://www.reverbnation.com/thewaynewhitehousereview You can check out my band to get an idea of what im talking about if interested! Sorry for the confusion! As for the wah question.... It works wonderfully! I love it!

Jdees81, I have to agree,
I took the comments of the others as rude and arrogant. I can see your setup for acoustic very easily. Gives you a lot of tonal range and flexibility. I presently use only four pedals on my board, the lower 4, and I may add a reverb....the one up in the upper right corner. These are on my test board at the moment, usually they are on the one that my cat loves. I use either velcro or bicycle links to mount my pedals. The Pigtronix keymaster is great for my Taylor, keeps me balanced all the way to the mixer or amp with two effects loops, input and output boost if needed. The Strymon Brigadier delay is one of the best I have used on acoustic. And I have yet to find a better Chorus than the Cool Cat. As you can tell, I play electric too.
