It is a better idea to ask for clarification before accusing anyone. I do not like what you said at all. It was completely false.

You asked color of the pick and I answered Tortoise. My tortoise pick is made of plastic. It is the same material of tortoise pickguard and binding.

Shame on you.

Sometimes it comes down to what can I find after I've given most of my picks away to others who've lost theirs... but normally it's the "Clear with a yellow hue Dunlop Ultex".

Cool

Although I do not use picks, except when practicing my Pete Townsend windmills, I do collect them...much like the old, doddering aunt on "Bewitched", who collected doorknobs...

I enjoy using a paper punch to put holes in them for a more controlled grip.

But, in answer to the thread, if I had a favorite, it would be BLUE (Duh!!)

I like those orange dunlops, just the right thickness and they stand out against pretty much any backdrop so they are hard(er) to lose than the white ones.

Pollajak,

Sorry, Man. Get a grip! Tortise picks haven't been made from shells for forty years now.

Didn't think you'd take the hook, line, and sinker.

Peace,

Doc

I went 'pick shopping' at E.M.Shorts in Wichita last week. A very nice salesman named Chet let me pull up a stool, take a Gibson 335 and strum away.I ended up taking 5 rainbow colored ones. He also gave me the name of a really good pizza place in town.Liked it so much,I ended up eating there twice!
