My first fave was Ringo, followed by John and then George. But Paul's contribution cannot be overestimated.

You know, I never had a favorite Beatle -- I think the group of them is what made them special. I would have voted for Ringo, just to give him another vote, until the last 2 nights. For some strange reason, John was in my dream for the past 2 nights. All I can remember is that he kept telling me, "No, no, its a Dm". In my dream, he seemed pretty insistent on that chord. I have no idea what that means, but I dreamt it 2 nights in a row.

Phuufme, I just think that is funny! You better go with John and put that dm wherever it goes. Maybe you need to try to write a song in dm.

Is it entirely impossible to ask you a simple question without you getting so freakin' defensive? Obviously, the question wasn't that out of line, as at least one other person was wondering the same thing. And where did I "degrade" your opinion??? Hell, Joe said your opinion was "heresy", and I notice you didn't take issue with that... Steve |

Wow, tough question I am asked all the time. I voted for George but was really a toss up between George and John. If you look at the Beatles songs, I guess I should have voted John just because of the volume of songs he wrote over George. Looking at solo works, I'd give the edge to George.
But, as stated by others, it really was the case of the sum of the parts being greater. (or whatever). They were the greatest band ever!!! Steve

Interesting observation...
Paul is currently joint first - but not many of the posts here say they voted for him. Are Pauls fans embarrased to admit it? I voted George! |

I voted for George, too, and with my vote he regains the lead!
Second choice would have been John.

So hard to choose, but I had to go for Paul. I have had a crush on him since 1964. John was right up there, too, for being quirky and funny.
