Did I mention the fantastic '42' style fretboard appointments?

Default Superb guitar.....

I used to be the owner of this superb guitar & I can highly recommend it. I ebbed & flowed many times before I eventually let it go because I really wanted to keep it. Due to a change in my personal circumstances, I only let it go because my health/work situation has been on a downward spiral and I have greatly simplified my guitar life. I'll soon be offloading my 2 Froggy Bottoms as I aim to keep just one, maybe 2, specialised guitars. The only things I would change on this sublime Kinnaird SJ model are the neck profile & pickguard. Like Fraser, I also slightly struggled with the neck width due to my smaller, stiffening hands. The pickguard just wasn't to my taste & on 3 occasions I nearly took it to my technician to find out what lies underneath. Because of the breathtaking bearclaw, a see through pickguard would be perfect....failing that then a Tor-tis would be aesthetically fabulous too. But anything other than the black version. If you like bling & ultimate upgrades then this guitar will be ideal for you. It does everything & is a real Swiss Army knife. Obviously it's a terrific strummer which goes without saying. But I played it mainly for fingerstyle & for a big guitar it had amazing responsive qualities. But this guitar deserves to go to a forever home because someone will love it. Please don't be deceived because I sold it & now the buyer is flipping it onwards. Any other time I would be seriously tempted into taking it back because it's that good. But I will let my head rule my heart, for a change & let someone else take complete advantage of this becoming available again. Believe me it's an absolute steal at this price, especially considering what I paid for it a few years ago (plus the taxes/customs etc). The £ is worth diddly squat right now so any American buyer should grab it while you can. It deserves to "go home" and someone will be incredibly happy with it. GLWS Fraser, a truly genuine & nice guy with tons of integrity.

Wink

This would have sold many times over, if it were on this side of the pond. I'm sure the Kinnairds are not well known over there. Yet. GLWS!

Good comment Steve. When we get out this global mess, I might just do that.

Smile Title suggestion

I have always found SJ to be confusing as it COULD BE

SLOPE JUMBO, OR SMALL JUMBO!

Might make sense to put Slope Shoulder Dreadnought in the title.

Just a thought. Sure is pretty

Paul

Paul, I’m glad you bumped this to the top. I didn’t want to as I’ve posted here twice, but I was just staring at it again this morning, trying not to figure out how to buy it. I have a 30’s Martin 000 coming in this week that took out my entire GAS budget so I’ll have to sell a few next week. But I wish this one were in San Diego as I’d split it with you!

Hi,

Where is the mark on the neck, and can you feel it when playing? Thank you.

We could trade off months.... hahahah. Good idea.

This one needs a forever home.
