GO + H2 = "Signe"
Here is a recording of Clapton's "Signe" I made this week on an out-of-town trip. I used my H2 and GO Parlor guitar to record the song then dropped it into Garageband for a touch of reverb. I have a ways to go before I am able to play the song as well as I'd like, but I was pleased with the sound of the recording and thought I'd share it.
For those that don't know, the GO Parlor is made by Sam Radding in east San Diego. Sam was on the same luthier bench as Bob Taylor back in the day, but decided not to help him form Taylor guitars so he could go off and do his own thing. He is a great guy and an interesting guy with a lot of guitar building knowledge and experience. I have included a picture of the GO Parlor next to my Martin OM for comparison purposes. The lower bout is 12". BTW, I'm not linked to GO Guitars in any way, I just like mine and thought I'd provide some info about it. Here is the link to "Signe" http://soundclick.com/share?songid=8685900 and here is the picture.

I would never have guessed you were playing a travel guitar by listening to that clip. You really brought out the tone in that little Go parlor.

I agree. If you hadn't mentioned what guitar you played that with, I would have never guessed it to be a shorter scale. Lovely tone you got from that.
Loved your playing too. That sounded great. EDIT: looking at the pictures again, is it really a shorter scale? Just a smaller body, right?

The GO Parlor has a 24.5" scale length while the Martin OM has a 25.340" scale length.

I remember that tune from the Clapton "unplugged" CD/DVD. Good job! That guitar does sound nice.

Steve, I always enjoy listening to your playing! I am amazed at the sound of that little guitar...terrific. I have a Washington Rover for my travel guitar and, of course, it plays great but sounds more like a uke than a guitar!! I'll have to consider a Go the next time I'm in the market for another travel guitar!
