Talking Nud

Got the new Pono Pro Classic Mahogany Concert on Wednesday!

The guys from HMS even included a few goodies, three packs of Ko'olau strings and upgraded my humidifier to the Oasis OH-18 (I'll eventually move to a drier place, right now I'm using a whole house dehumidifier...). Even if I won't use any of these extras, I appreciate it. Shows what a great company they are - highly recommended, but you probably knew that already.

I swapped the strings from the stock Ko'olau Mahanas to Aquila New Nylguts - my favorite. I always find myself coming back to them.

Plays great, HMS setup is wonderful, as usual. Sounds fantastic. Nice and warm, a bit quiet but sweet.

Excellent! I've got the older (and not as fancy looking) version of that one. I totally agree on the string choice.

Nice looking uke! Congrats.

I really like what they are doing over there with the Pro Classic. I have a Pono Macassar Ebony/ Cedar (ETSH-PCC) and love the way it sounds and looks.

Did you upgrade to the UPTs?

Thanks!

The thing is with their Pro Classics is that sometimes I find myself staring instead of playing

And no, they are currently offering the Soprano and Concert Pro Classics with UPTs stock. They are worth it though!

Congrats! What a beautiful guitar. Lots of Pono NGD / NUD threads here on the AGF recently and great reviews. Enjoy!

Thanks!

They make great instruments, their QC is impressive. I may be GASing for a Pono Parlor.
