If someone accused you of rape, considering the absolutely devastating impact that would have on your life, wouldn't you want them to have to prove their allegations in a criminal court? I sure would.

Or would you be okay with them having to meet a much lower standard of proof?

Let's chill a little, guys. We don't know what happened between these two people.

I agree. Being in Pittsburgh, I’m not the biggest fan of AB right now but I’m pretty much ready to move on from any drama concerning him. Rape isn’t something that belongs in this thread AFAIC either.

Fine. Set aside the act, if you must. But, the NFL's most volatile and self-obsorbed player is being charge with an emotionally charged crime in civil court, where the plaintiff is asking for a jury trial. The very least that emerges from this is a very public discovery process potentially followed by a very public trial. In sum, the whole situation represents the very type of distraction that the Patriots are noted for trying to avoid. Watching this play out will be fascinating.

Yup. The team already has its drama thanks to the owner.

Not really. No Pats fan that I know has even talked about the incident with Kraft since the week it happened.

Not that big of a deal.

As far as this season goes, I'm afraid it's another year of "There's the Patriots then there's everyone else"...

At least there is on this forum where all they want to talk about is the Patriots, geez Louise!

Yup. It’s like talking about shooting fish in a barrel, though; the playing field is not level.

I think the Raiders are going to be the team the Steelers want to be though; the team that was able to move on after the best receiver they’d ever known went nuts and boiled the rabbit in their kitchen.
