Default The Last Day Of Summer - Eric Skye

My son Ethan started his junior year this morning, both daughters are getting ready to head back to college, and my wife is back in the classroom teaching third grade. Figured I revisit this little lullaby in 7/4 that I wrote for a PBS segment about the Head Start program, back when our kids were tiny and first starting school too.

Very nice, Eric!

What a sweet melody! Quite poignant from my viewpoint.

I have a grand daughter who is a junior in high school this year, but she is also starting at the local community college in the Running Start program this year. She is just starting to drive a car! At the same time across our computer screen we have a series of photos from when she and her little brother were just little ones. It's great to see them grow up, but I also very much enjoyed the time when they were just little ones.

It reminds me of Joni Mitchell's "The Circle Game."...You drag your feet to slow the circles down...

Thanks for sharing that Eric.

- Glenn

I loved learning this song earlier this year and it’s so cool to hear Eric play it again with different embellishments. Sure fuels the creative inspiration.
