Default “It’s Never Too Late” Tommy Emmanuel Cover

Here’s a TE tune I had aspired to learn, it had been a while at the point I learned and recorded this song. Enjoy, appreciate your constructive feedback. Bless y’all!

Thanks for sharing, Ed. I really enjoyed your playing. I think "working your fingers to the bone" would describe not only learning the piece, but even just playing it through. You've got some stamina!

By the way, I like your t-shirt. Go Caitlyn!

Larry

Thanks for sharing. Did well with it. A couple of things: the melody notes are king and should stand out more clearly over the other notes. Also lots of sizzling string slap noise (maybe a bit higher guitar action setup especially on the unwound strings).

Nice job, enjoyed it.

I've got to bet it took a couple (thousand) times playing it through to get to learn this one - good job!

Thanks, yes Caitlyn is one of my reasons for spending so much time on YT. She is phenomenal to say the least.

This song took a bit of grinding away at new chord shapes and finger picking patterns. But so fun to play, thanks again Larry!

Nice job Ed!

Some years ago when Tommy's It's Never Too Late CD came out, I remember working on this song. I thought it was pretty cool. You did a nice job on this. There are some hard parts in there!

Well done!

Thanks for your observation, many of my guitars do have a bit of sizzling due to living in the desert with low humidity, I never had this issue when I lived in Iowa. I have adjusted the relief on necks of most of my guitars, and in some cases shimmed the saddles to increase action…even then some sizzling still occurs. Typically I am keeping my humidity between 40 to 55%., Yes, Melody is king! Ed

Have to keep up on this song or it’s easy to loose some of the nuances.
