I just finished putting this guitar all together. The final steps were to adjust the truss rod, file the nut slots, set the action and pickup heights and adjust the intonation. It all works and actually plays and sounds pretty good.

The next step is to get a good case and ship it to my son in Chicago. I think he will like it.

Just wonderful! Quite a plank you put together for your son. It looks to be a smooth, easy player that will be passed down through the family for generations. The real definition of an heirloom guitar right there. Good for you, Bluside.

Beautiful job! To put in the hours of the build for your son makes it even more impressive. Congrats to you, and your son for a cherished gift. Hopefully you’ll be able to play along with him soon.

Thanks everyone. I had fun building it and last week my son came in town and I was able to give it to him. He was very appreciative.
