Default "Shaking" guitar neck for a chorus effect?

I know electric players do this, but I had never really seen an acoustic guitarist do it? Maybe I just wasn't playing close enough attention. I know TE does it to some degree. But check out this guy... I've never heard anyone do it this drastically, it sounds beautiful....

if the video doesn't cue up properly, it's around the 2:50 mark

More of a vibrato or tremolo effect than chorus. I do it a little. Mostly for fun at the end of a song. I love the 'detuning' effect of bending the neck that I've seen people do but it freaks me out so I don't do it. I keep thinking my neck will snap or at the very least it will lead to needing a neck reset sooner!

As related above, vibrato or tremolo, not chorus.

Red Volkaert has been known to simply carry a spare neck for his Telecaster. He said it was fairly common to rip the neck screws out due to his neck-flexing technique.

Not that uncommon. Many videos on youtube. To me it is easily over done and can be more of an affected habit rather than musically effective.

I dunno, when done on an electric its generally as you say, vibrato. When done on an acoustic, at least when I've seen it done, I dont think the guys are actually bending the guitar, its more of a subtle modulation effect that one might get if they picked up a speaker and slowly shook it. I'd say it can sound pretty "chorus-ey". With a deft, rather than heavy hand, I've seen guys that can kind get that same kind of sound with an electric, but it would be the exception rather than the rule.

Seems to me he is doing an aggregate of several things
he is
bending the guitar neck (slightly detunes and slightly vibrato- ish )
Moving the guitar quickly away and back towards the mic ( wavy addition to vibrato)
And he is plucking two or more strings and the thumb pick at the same time (chorus-y type effect)
