Default Rough recording on an iPad

I sing and play directly into the iPad to play songs on Facebook, does anyone know of a mic that plugs directly into an iPad to give better sound quality?

Check out the Apogee Mic 96k Lightning and the Apogee MiC+.
(Mic+ is newer model)

It plugs directly into the iPad .. works with various Apps like GarageBand.

Thanks everyone for your help. I may go for the Apogee MiC 96k, it seems to get good reviews and it looks like a regular mic.

Default Mic

Malcolm I’ve used the Apogee MIC for some time now and it does a wonderful job in capturing sound. Have even recorded me and the wife singing along and picks up everything
Good luck
Rick

Might not work for your situation since you want both guitar and vocals. But if you have a need to record just guitar, as JakeStone mentioned, check out the IK Multimedia iRig Acoustic.

Here is a video I recorded, and you can see the iRig attached to the guitar. It just sits in the sound hole, no permanent mounting, and takes just a couple of seconds to "install"

Hope that helps,
GC

I bought a Shure MV88 for "quick & dirty" iPhone recordings while out & about and found it to be much better than I had expected, especially with the free Motiv audio app that Shure recommends for it.
