Found this very informative.. Part 2 was excellent introduction to learning mic placement in a challenging room.

Yes, I pointed out (and others did) to the guys that posted the videos that the sound clips are in mono (you can see my comment on part one of the video).

Good demo of XY vs ORTF versus AB. Granted the mike quality varies but the results sound consistent to what I usually have heard over the years.
