Default CF Newcomer - Joytar

Some Lava-like elements here:

Not much to go on just yet - it looks like they're gearing up for an actual launch.

It'll be interesting to see where they go with this. Given the 36" length and the image they show:

jt.jpg

the lower bout must be around 13-1/2", body length is around 17-1/4" and the scale length is 24". So it has about the same scale length as an Emerald X7, but a smaller body by about 3/4" in both the lower bout and body length. And the 3.3 lb is quite a bit less than the 4.1 lb of the X7. But who knows if this is the final version. Could be a nice travel size guitar.

The bit about the electronics is interesting too. Evidently you'll be able to add reverb and sustain and other interments via Bluetooth. Kind of sounds like a HyVibe of sorts.

Thanks for posting.

That caught my eye too - I think Emerald might have something to say about that, from what I know of their construction methods.

The preamp seems reminiscent of the recent Lava Me preamps.

It is also carbon compression molding like the Lava instruments. While the impervious nature of the material is probably just as good as cured fiber/ resin builds (more expensive and more beautiful IMO), I wonder if there is any difference in strength?

Reasonable (if not particularly detailed) review here:

And a much longer one here, which I have not watched yet:
