Default 1000.00 00/00 Short Scale Recommendations

Good Day

Looking for a recommendation for a small body, short scale guitar.

I only wish the Martin 15 Series were Shortys.

Best
Ron

Perhaps an Eastman 00? They've been getting a lot of love on the AGF lately.

And Breedlove has some good choices in that price range. Their Concertina bodies are 00-size. And 12-fret, if that makes a difference.

Default 1000.00 00/00 Short Scale Recommendations

Pono has 0&00 size guitars with 24&3/4 scale length. At one point in time they had a December sale on in stock instruments. That’s how I was able to acquire my 00-40VS a few years back in your price range. It’s a fantastic guitar. It would be worth contacting them concerning what they have at this point in time.

Hope that helps.

If you are talking Martin 12 fret designs, 000 have stad scales (25.4") but 00, and 0 have 24.9" scales.
If you are looking for 14 fretters, others can advise.

I love my Eastman E10 OO. For much less money my Alvarez 14 fret “parlor” which is really an OO, is lovely. It’s solid top laminate b/s. They make 12 fret models in solid top and all solid versions. They’re all short scale.

See my Sig for a Pono 00 cedar over mahogany for sale.

Very responsive and a sweet sound.

If I were in the market for what you're looking for I'd get one of the U.S. made Guild M-20 guitars. Just slightly above your price point, but you can probably come very close if you message some of the dealers.

Yeah, those are underrated. I’m really, really impressed - they are very much like a small OM with shorter scale. Love mine.
