Very nice, now I'll have to listen to his version again. I bought the CD from him the last time I saw play in my area.

Nice playing but next time back off the reverb a bit. I know it probably sounds cool through the headphones but using effects should be kind of like good stage lighting: enhance the overall experience but (for the most part) don't draw attention to the effect itself. But in any case, have fun! I am a HUGE Martin Taylor fan; he was my inspiration to learn finger-style arrangements that combine a bass line, comped chords in the middle and the melody on top. IMHO, Martin is the greatest living finger-style jazz guitarist. Perhaps not quite as flashy as some but every note is RIGHT!

I thought the amount of reverb was fine for the song and the mood it was projecting. The only thing about the sound I didn't like was the piezo quack. You play very well; your playing deserves to be recorded on a pair of quality microphones.

Thank you so much guys.
Glenn. You have such a beautifull Martin guitar. This tremendous masterpiece must definitely be a pleasure to play on. And Jim. Beautifull Taylor guitar. In the Netherlands, they are much more expensive than your asking price! |
