Earliest found L-5 Archtop !!!
Brain tired from doing some finance and medical stuff on a cold wet Birthday I sauntered onto the marketing website that also has some videos (yeah - YouTube) and stumbled on this .....
a 1923 L-5 Love the way these guys have fussed it and made it look and play so nicely and respectfully>

Too bad we couldn't hear the guitar instead of that version of "Angel Eyes."

What a fascinating video! I remember playing a very early L5 Gibson at a guitar store when my wife and I visited Bath (England) back in, I think, the spring of 2013. I'm thinking it was 1928 or 1929, but my memory on that is a little hazy.

I'm with mr. beaumont, I hope there's another video to come with some sound samples. & I wonder what the whole story is of it's discovery. A check of the Mandolin Registry shows it was entered there 12/8/2023, source George Gruhn.

Wouldn't you want to replace the later tailpiece with an original lighter string over shape?
