Default "Autour du monde" (Olson SJ "The Tree")

Some of you may remember the very first video that I recorded with my 2012 Olson SJ "The Tree" -- it was an original called "Natasha's Insomnia", written for an old friend of mine who now lives in California.

I haven't seen her in years but every now and then I'll make an extravagant proposal to her, just for the heck of it. My latest idea was to travel the world and get hammered in every country (she's the most entertaining drinking partner).

While I'm still waiting for her final answer (!), I recently wrote a piece called "Autour du monde", which is French for "Around The World".

As always, thank you for listening.

I'm out of adjectives to describe how amazingly pure & beautiful this is Pisan...I can only hope that you take that trip and stop by my lil' coast and have a drink with me. There will always be a guitar waiting for you here Mau; until then, I will listen to your music as it already takes me around and out of this world in a most joyful way. What a pleasure to listen to yet another lovely piece!

Thanks Eric. I keep delaying my trip on the east coast (still haven't been to NYC although I drove through the suburbs twice -- and still haven't visited Boston despite being a short drive away). But I will make it one day and I really look forward to playing a few tunes with you, i.e. I'll play the lead fills while you do all the hard work...

Very nicely composed, arranged and performed, Mau. I love the soothing fluid energy of this piece, and the beautiful voicing of that Olson!! Keep them coming.

Thanks, Steve!

I don't like to tune my guitar too often so the tuning is the same as we discussed offline -- EbBbDFBbF.

Thanks so much.

It wasn't a serious invitation. I just throw random ideas at her just for fun. It's all on my Facebook... LOL

Although I like to write "emotional" pieces, I actually rarely base my music on anything too deep or serious.

Thanks, Bob. I'm working really hard at composing better music, better structures. It's a tough gig for sure -- and I truly appreciate your support.
