Default New Donner Rising Pro Has Major Problems

There’s just something wrong with this one. While others received theirs with good action, this one is ridiculously high. The neck is also bowed. On top of that, there’s some weird unpleasant resonance when I pluck the low E. I tried tightening the truss rod which helped a little, and it seemed completely loose when I started. It never did get to straight after many turns and I don’t want to turn it anymore.

I think it has potential, so I’m exchanging it for another that will arrive on January 11. For $299, I want to give it a shot. Besides, my Enya Pro will arrive by then.

Check out these photos and video.

I’ve no interest in this guitar but always appreciate the feedback. Thanks David.

My guess is you've already returned it and don't wish to bother with fixing but ...
I'm curious if it is a neck bolt issue.

My journey rt660 arrived slightly misaligned and my Enya x4 arrived with the neck bolts slightly loose. Both cases 10 minutes with an Allen key had the action back where it was supposed to be.

You have the neck bow though ...

It’s packed up waiting to be picked up. A replacement arrives Monday.

My Enya arrived today with a really good setup.

Looking forward to your review on your Enya David. Glad to hear it arrived in playable condition as mine did. It seems to sound better to me the more I play it.
