Default 2017 Martin 000-30 1919 Authentic

I have for sale a remarkably good 000-30, now a discontinued model.

This guitar is virtually unplayed, and near-mint to mint in condition. There are no appreciable flaws, and OHSC is in perfect condition.

This piece from the Authentic series is a remake of two of the rarest Martins of all time. And what a perfect reproduction it is! Madagascar rosewood, Adirondack top with VTS treatment, nut is 1 7/8. 12 fret. Perfect for finger style. and great depth for flatpicking as well.

The most remarkable feature is the tone. Somehow Martin has been able to capture the loud , complex tone of a wonderful era of guitar production. And modern playability produces an outstanding instrument.

As I am transitioning to focus on mandolin and slide guitar, it is time to let
this great guitar go to someone who will enjoy it.

4950.00 plus 100.00 shipping to Continental US.

There is NO neck reinforcement on these guitars, none. You cannot use 12s. Max is custom light 11s, and the guitar is so resonant you won’t need anything heavier. The top, back, and sides are thinned pretty good, even relative to other Authentics.

Martin only built two of these back in 1919. The back and sides are, in fact, 20% thinner than normal. That is why they are so resonant. If this is the same one that has gone through several hands here on AGF, then I'm the original owner. This is, by far, the most amazing sounding guitar I've ever heard.

It is quite an accomplishment. It certainly deserves to be played and enjoyed. Currently
I am focusing on other instruments.

If this is the same guitar that EIEIO9995 had then I was the second owner. I absolutely agree. It was the most unique sounding Martin I have played. I got a kick out of the reaction when played by one of my guitar friends. A tone like no other. It truly is a magnificent guitar. And at this price is a tremendous value. Do yourself a favor and buy this while you have the opportunity
