I am too late to this party, but I would have voted for the first one.

Default Progress

For those following along here is a progress shot. The last unobstructed view of the innards.

One variation between my brother’s building style and my own is the placement of the side braces. Steve lines his side braces up with the back braces. It looks real nice and tidy. I have a different rubric, equally valid in my mind but there it is, not a thoughtless placement just a different thought

The box is closed
Some channels are cut
I decided to put in a center strip down the back
Coco on coco with curly maple purfling
The ends will be black as will be the lions share of the binding
And black will fade into coco on both ends the butt wedge and arm bevel. The rest of the binding will be ebony

Thanks Kevin. It may go to BIG if it isn't snatched up first. Assuming you return, which I hope you do, you can hear this guy.

I'll be there, but I have a feeling this guitar will be long gone by then!

No…no…it’s being worked on. The body has come to my shop to fit the neck and bridge. Only, I need to make the neck and bridge.
Actually, they are under way, but the Artisan show put this project on hold. But work has resumed, so stay tuned.
And thanks for your interest, and patience!

Steve

Sheesh, I thought it might have SOLD already. It is a rare opportunity to own a Kinnaird collaberration Guitar

Are there any others out there?

Fortunately it is at your shop so not slowing John down on finishing mine! Hahahaha

Oh, if I had the scratch, this would be spoken for.

Glad it will continue here for vicarious enjoyment
