The prior 2 videos also "hint" at a new guitar.

For me, after a build up to "something big is about to happen", always seems anti-climatic when the thing actually happens. It works better for me to just put the thing out there and let me decide for myself the impact of the event.

yes seems to hint at some type of "studio" guitar based on the 3 videos. maybe slim body x7, or 12 fret x10 (or slim x20).

In a previous video Alistair was mentioning the HyVibe pickup. So I am guessing that's what this is.

That would be a nice option to have across the range. No need to isolate that to just one model.

Nothing will ever be as disappointing as Trek bicycles in early 2019.
They said -
"A change like this comes once every 30 years
On March 19, we’re unveiling something that will change cycling forever"
and
“Cycling’s biggest change since carbon fiber and this one matters more.”

30 years ago was when carbon fiber worked its way into cycling and changed frames completely.

Instead of something groundbreaking, it was a new helmet. They claim it to be 40 times better protecting than a standard EPS foam helmet. Thats debatable.

So yeah - I don't let speculation of products get me too wound up anymore after that absolute joke of a marketing campaign.

I've always been an Emerald fan, but I do not like receiving a bunch of emails dealing with nothing, even if they are just cute as all get out. Maybe I'm just being cranky, even though I had a good nap today and everything seems to be going well on the home front.

But I've come to see email as a two-edged sword and cleaning out the inbox has become a daily negative. I could block the Emerald emails, but then I'd miss the neat shipping videos.

I’d be much more concerned if I was being bombarded with emails from Rainsong, Journey, McPherson, Enya, Lava and beyond, as well.

Right now, I’d say that Emerald has got their e-marketing machine into full gear, and my hat’s off to them for that. They seem to be playing this aspect way better than their competition, for what it’s worth.

I think, with respect, you’re being a tad cranky. Feel free to admonish me at any time you thinking I’m being the same

I like Emerald's emails. They typically only send one when there's something interesting (to watch).

But it probably doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out:

When I get e-mails telling me that my credit card account has been frozen, a Nigerian prince wants to give me money, or that there is an issue with my Social Security account, I sigh at the waste of time.

When I get e-mails telling me anything related to guitars, I smile and look forward to checking them out. It's like free entertainment.

Evan is cranky? Yeah, maybe a little. On the bright side, the phone calls trying to sell me an extended warranty or telling me the IRS wants me to send them Walmart gift cards have all but gone away. Such is our tech oriented life.

It takes me a minute or so to check e-mail each day and weed out the crap. I'm guess if BlackBird sent Evan an e-mail right now, he'd be all over it, even if it wasn't to tell him they are done with his Savoy.

Yes yes, you all are right. I've been inundated with uninvited emails recently and obviously feeling a bit cranky about it. But, I've miss-spoken myself and promise I'll never do it again (until the next time). And thanks for the gentle rejoinders.
