I also agree with Dave I think I nabbed one at just the right time cause I can certainly see the demand for this model increase.
Take a hint from me - hoard Sables instead of TP.

lol hey I'm fortunate enough to be able to order one. And, I still haven't fully paid for it yet! There's still plenty of future dishwashing, laundry, floor mopping, foot massages, etc.

Did your new new Sable arrive? I’m eagerly awaiting your opinion.

Just remember, Sables can be very disappointing guitars to some folks. Being as how kindhearted I can be on occasion, I am willing to provide a comfortable home for these unwanted instruments, but the disappointed owner must cover all shipping costs.

Seems to me we might have enough folks to have a Sable owners' club.

Tony

Yeah but it would be the same picture 10 times with different straps and tuners attached. It would be a strap and tuner club really.

That is true. With any of these guitars, there really is only so much that can be said, yet it is said over and over and the threads get longer and more numerous.

It is a lovely guitar. With and without honeycomb, too! (sub-chapters of the strap and tuner club)

Thinking about this "strap and tuner" club again, I think it is a great idea, but to be exclusive, you must also own a Sable that has the tuners McPherson uses (whether Schaller or the chrome ones) and a true McPherson strap. They don't seem to sell these in their online store, so you would have gotten it either with a McPherson carbon fiber guitar or through some other means.

Now I think we have a handle on it. The big question is whether it is worth it or not. I say ... not ... so that we simply join the rest of the carbon fiber world. There are lots of fine carbon fiber guitars out there to be shared among carbon fiber players at any get-together (assuming the demise of COVID-19, of course).
