Default Jorma Kaukonen "Solo Live From Fur Peace Ranch"

I thought someone would probably post this yesterday, so I'll do it post-concert.

Jorma is doing live solo acoustic guitar shows from Fur Peace Ranch that are streaming live at no charge Saturday night early evenings. The April 4th show was great, lasting about an hour and a quarter. The archived show is still available here:

His intent is to do another for next week and continuing them into the near future. It's a good opportunity for acoustic players to pick up some tasty licks! Jorma intersperses songs with answering questions submitted on line. Last night he covered questions ranging from his favorite meals to talking about his custom built dread.

Kicked it off with "San Francisco Bay" and ended with "Watersong". It doesn't get much better than that! Genesis was a viewer suggestion and I believe that's going on next week's set list.

Jorma is doing another live show, or you can catch it later.

Watched quite bit of both concerts last night; watching Jorma play was wonderful, lots of fun. That Flammang slope-shoulder he's playing is a sweet guitar!

Was trying to figure out how old he's be now, given that I was 15 when I first heard him play in the Airplane... he's got to be middle 70's by now? His vocals certainly have that "old man" feel to them!

Thanks for posting the link!

Glad to see that many are enjoying these shows. Much as I love Jorma, there's really nothing like seeing Acoustic Hot Tuna up close and personal. Here's a taste of Tuna that will delight all. There's a ton of stuff to learn here no matter if you're a guitar, bass, or mandolin player.

Over the years at Fur Peace Ranch I've gotten to know Jorma and Vanessa. Really good people.
