Default I really like this strap for my Rainsong, but.....

Does anyone think that $100 is a bit expensive for this......

http://macnichol.com/product/rainson...-strap-leather

Maybe I'm just missing something, but it seems like there's a $30 premium for the privilege of displaying the Rainsong Logo.

Clearly it's not the money, but more the principal here. Perhaps I'm just becoming a grumpy ole bastage! LOL!!!

That said, I still want this strap! Did anyone pick one up, and if so, can you comment on the comfort, quality, etc.

Just thinking out loud.

Dave

Dave, as you know the Rainsong is so light that just about any strap would be comfortable. If you WANT one with the Rainsong logo and can afford it, why not?

Some time back I wanted to stick Waverly tuners on a Martin 000-15S I owned. Folks said it was 'overkill' and 'out of proportion' to the value of the guitar. I didn't care and totally enjoyed the experience~!

Lots of Larrivee owners still keep an eagle eye out for the Larrivee-logo leather straps...at any price.

Go for it!

Hey Dave..I just picked one up for my new Shorty FT that I just can't seem to put down. It's a great strap, all leather and very comfortable. Yes it's a bit pricey but fits me & my Shorty perfectly. One thing though, I had to pick up a Strapkeeper (www.tapastring.com) to help secure the strap to the endpin jack.

Hey Jimmy. Thanks for the feedback. I went to the tapastring website, and it's hard to make out what this device looks like by the small picture they had there. Is is just a locking device that wraps around the end pin?

I think I am going to just bite the bullet and order one, as I agree with Mr. Skaggs......I want it, and life is too short to let $100 stand in the way of the little things in life that make me happy.

The strap arrived, and it is indeed beautifully made and very comfortable! I love those moments where you received something that you purchase, and from the moment you open the box, you forget about the price!

Thanks guys...Glad I did it.
