I actually returned it. The guitar sounded great but I realized a couple of things after I got it. First and most important it didn’t sound better than my Guild mark 4. So that means I’d probably just play it on gigs. Also, I bought the fusion because in had a mic and blend feature but when I used the mic I got lots of feedback. So I thought that if I’m mainly going to be playing it on gigs and with the piezo pickup a less expensive version would do just fine. I ordered the Mini 2 for $225. With that one I can also use it for teaching lessons because it’s so easy to transport. I’m guessing when I plug it in there won’t be a huge difference from the Fusion. That’s what I’m hoping anyway.

Good luck with your purchase,
I can't speak highly enough of the Taylor 514ce Nyl I plodded through a few nylons (Takamine, Yamaha, MR (Manuel Rodriquez) none of them stuck. Intonation issues mostly.. Then I decided to go with this Taylor, and my search for a great nylon string guitar ended that day. I did have to work a bit to get the ES on the nylon string to be balanced with all strings, but once I solved that it's been fantastic. |

Mini
So I ended up with the Cordoba mini II. Sounds great plugged in and fun to play. Obviously it doesn’t have the acoustic sound of a full size guitar but it seems to suit my needs. And under $250 seems good. I will say I’m a fan of parlor guitars in general so that may explain a little.

Alvarez CC7HCEAR
Ran into one of these at a local shop. I was impressed with the quality and it sounded pretty darn good.
I had read this review in Classical Guitar Magazine which was favorable: http://classicalguitarmagazine.com/g...sical-guitars/ Personally I am not a fan of 1-7/8" nut width but otherwise a pretty impressive guitar. |
