Guitar to Computer
I was curious if this could be done:
I happen to have a male to male headphone cable and I just so happen to have a 1/4'' to headphone adapter jack. Is it possible that I could connect my guitar to the cable via the adapter and into the headphone jack as an input?

It's possible. But if you can get it to work the sound won't be much to work with. You'd be better off with a cheap USB interface.

It works! I plugged it into the headphone input jack. I'm thinking that the laptop is thinking the electronics on the guitar is the microphone itself. The quality is VERY CLEAN!! Going to have so much fun with this, solves my microphone issue haha.

Wong,
I'm guessing you mean audio INPUT on your laptop, not Headphone OUTPUT? Regards, Ty Ford |
