Default LR Baggs Element issue

Hi everyone!
I have a LR Baggs element installed on my SJ200 and recently it sounds “saturated”, “distorted”.
I’ve checked battery, cable connections, preamp solders, and nothing apparently is damaged.
Have the same pickup installed on a J45, and sounds pretty well in same setup.
So, anyone may have any idea how to solve it?

Has your saddle become tighter in its slot due to humidity issues? If so, it may be inhibiting the saddle from sitting down firmly on the Element.

First of all, try a new battery... ALWAYS the easiest thing to check!

Have you done anything to the guitar lately? Like changing strings, removing the saddle, any sort of actions that could have the UST move AT ALL under the saddle? If so, take the saddle out and be CERTAIN that the UST is laying flat and not buckled or pinching somewhere...

Lastly, call Baggs! I have found their customer service to be exemplary and quite helpful... you actually can talk to one of the techs and get "the straight poop" from the horse's, err... mouth, so to speak...

Thanks for answering!
I didn’t change anything, and there was no significant humidity variation.
I just changed strings, as usual.
But I’ll check the saddle, to confirm if it’s not too tight.

I’ve replaced battery twice, because it is usually a factor that causes distortion. But even with new batteries the sound is still distorting.
I’ll check again the saddle, but I didn’t make any modifications on this guitar, just the usual string changes.
After that, if not solve the problem, will call Baggs support.
