Now I really want to compare the 30M, Pro 8 and JBL side by side!

You're probably not the only one, but I'll go on record to say that I actually like the look of it, not to mention the feature set.

I used my Eon One much the same as I'd been using my Bose L1 MII and for me it was always finding the right offset, which I'm sure this one will do well with too.

Yeah, I'm already considering getting one of these as a partner rig for my Eon Pro Compact too.

I'm laughing at myself now because the contrast is so poor on the Sweetwater image (at least my with laptop settings) that I missed some of its subtleties. Now that I've taken a closer look, it's not so bad.

Looks bad? Who buys a PA for it's looks?

That looks really cool. I still need a preamp for my solo gigs, but I wouln't mind leaving the mixer at home for the duo gigs. And being an app like that, you can walk around the room and fine tune during sound check. That's cool.

The only thing I don't like is the 45 lbs for the sub, but I guess ya gots to pay to play.

I agree. I'm very happy with my EV30M but I think the effects are better with JBL. But.....I'm not so sure I want a heavier sub. The 30M's sub is about as heavy as I'd want to go for something that I sometimes have to carry up stairs.
I sometimes use a dolly, but there are venues where load in doesn't allow for this and you have to carry.

I've been using the EV 30M for more than a year now and I really do love its basic sound, power, size, etc. However, it lacks a parametric eq on each channel and the effects are so-so. As a singer/acoustic guitarist, I'm forced to bring along a separate eq pedal and reverb unit for my guitar as well as a reverb for my vocals. I'm hoping that EV will update their app and firmware to improve these areas. Otherwise I will be looking into the JBL PRX One.

I would love to see a side-by-side video that compares the EV 30M to the JBL PRX One.

I never tried that system but I heard a lot of people talk about it. This is an all new design from what I understand.

Eon Pro channel gain was a real issue. Only Bluetooth had any kind of gain. I hope they have finally fixed that. I paid $1,300 when it first came out. The last I saw they were blowing them out for $500! I guess JBL has given up trying to get loud dBs with battery power.

The line input jacks on the original Eon One also had little volume. Useless.

Default New PA system from JBL - PRX One

This appears to be a well thought out design. Thanks for bringing it to our attention. Per the manual it’s a fixed analog gain design like previous products. That never bothered me. I keep the gain switch enabled regardless of the input type because their line gain is insufficient.

Also I used the DBX product for feedback suppression in the past and it was excellent. Hopefully this works just as well.
