Well, I just got a notice that a UPS label has been created, so may have something in hand next week!

Sweetwater called this AM to tell me mine is en route. I live a few hours from them and often get things next day. But surely by the weekend I’ll have mine.

Congratulations to all of you getting your new ToneDexters!

And congratulations to Sweetwater, who'll now be selling a ton of microphones as all the new ToneDexter owners search for the perfect wavemap!

Any word on how it "should" work with an Anthem SL? I know it has a stereo input but the SL combines the True Mic & Element mono out as all know. Anyway, looks interesting. I had the first version and didn't love it but I'm sure I'll have to check this out.

I think it’s only going to “see” the anthem as a single source. Unless there is a way to send the anthem out on a TRS cable that I’m not aware of.

I have messed with one Anthem setup that I installed for a friend, and I know she doesn’t dial with it. We just found one mix setting that sounded best with her Bose setup and she probably won’t ever touch it. So for her, a TD2 would be simple.

But I think if you change your mic/pickup mix often, you may need to have different TD presets for each mix.

Somebody with firsthand experience can hopefully confirm or tell me I’m all jacked up. [emoji3]

Hey thanks, no it's a blended mono 1/4 inch out that you can't split. I don't change the balance of True Mic to under-saddle ever which I'm very happy with but I just remember it was said that the SL was not a great candidate for the TD.

You could try dialing out the mic entirely and training with the undersaddle exclusively - it would be an interesting experiment, but I’m not sure you’d notice as much benefit as you’d hear if you had come from a piezo-only set-up -

Thanks...yeah, you can't dial it out all the way. I'm real happy with it as is just will have to see how it does with the newest incarnation. Look forward to you posting some clips if you get a chance, that is if that's something you're inclined to do!

Hi mondoslug
If you have the first ToneDexter, did you do all the firmware updates.

I love mine, and have done ALL the firmware updates, which made a tremendous difference in tone adjusting, feedback resistance etc. over the 5 years I've owned it.

Hi Larry, thanks! I don't have whatever version I had anymore, I didn't do any firmware updates while I had it. I tried it with my Collings with K & K pure mini.
I really didn't like that pickup with or without the TD so I pulled it & put an Anthem SL in and that has worked very well for me. That said I'm willing to give it another chance & I'm sure I'll pick up the newest TD version and check it out...because I like buying stuff twice!
