Although I wouldn't go THAT wide i realize after just a few days with this I would have been fine with the narrower profile on a 1 3/4" neck. I kind of thought I would be but chose to double down on the slimness and went with the 1 11/16" nut.

I’m actually sitting here playing my ‘91 SC F, maple/sitka, which has a 1-13/16” nut and the slimmest, amazingly comfortable neck - I think of it like the electric guitar neck I’ve always wanted, but have yet to find an electric guitar with a neck this nice. But I’m happy with the guitar its attached to -

Beautiful....I also love my SCGC OM. "The Tree" Hog/Euro Spruce.
You are so very correct , once one plays a Santa Cruz OM other very good guitars just don't make it.
