Default NGD: B.I.G. comes to me!

I couldn't make it to this year's B.I.G., so, a little piece of it came to me. My NGD is this beautiful Custom Hatcher "Josie Small Jumbo" and I couldn't resist.

When I saw/heard Dustin Furlow demo this, well....you know the drill.

I can't come close to taking good photos, so Mark Hatcher was kind enough to permit me to use his.

It has old growth Western Red Cedar top and the back and sides are a beautiful set of 40yrs old East Indian Rosewood.

Congrats...that is beautiful. I love the way it highlights the beauty of wood on the headstock and rosette. It's got a very natural vibe.

Absolutely stunning, Larry! I watched some B.I.G. videos including of Dustin who makes all guitars sing. I’m going to go back to listen to this one. You’re a lucky guy. Way to go!

It was a pleasure to work with Larry on this guitar. It was clearly the steal of the show. It looks and plays like a dream. Mark has an artistic vibe to all of his guitars that is very hard to match. His ability to match woods together to make a cohesive piece of artistry is unparalleled. His set-ups are very good as well and this guitar was no exception.

Congrats to Larry on a fine choice and on behalf of B.I.G. the return, we thank you for participating even if from afar! Mark has a bloodwood guitar that I am currently watching over as well, it too is a piece of art and a tonal monster. It will be a sad day when it has to be shipped back to Vermont.

Play away Larry and I hope you enjoy it for a long time to come.

Tom

Larry, Congrats on the beautiful Hatcher! What an amazing piece of craftsmanship and I'm sure the tone is just as wonderful.
