Default Cheap and cheerfull

Hi guys I am looking to try out an archtop guitar so looking at the second hand market ...yes I have no money but really have about £300 I am willing to spend am I wasting my time with this amount or can I really get somthing to dip my toes in the water, and what should I look out for so I don’t get ripped off . many thanks .......

Don't know how available they are in the UK, but for about that price you should be able to score a used all-acoustic Godin 5th Avenue:

Gretsch has a G100 Synchromatic which might be available used in that range. It's all laminate but not a bad sounding guitar for the price.
