Man! Larry!

What a gorgeous guitar! I would love to be able to play that and hear what it sounds like!

Wow! What a work of art! And beautiful woods!

Default Hatcher Josie from B.I.G.

Larry Congratulations on snagging this fine guitar and welcome to the growing family of Hatcher owners. Enjoy and play it often

Congratulations! I played this guitar for a while, I think on Sunday morning of B.I.G. It was actually effortless to produce a tone that filled the entire living room/concert hall. It's a wonderful instrument and beautiful to look at.

I remember so clearly meeting this guitar and Mark at Woodstock in 2018 (or maybe 19?)

I was walking out to the tent area looking for Marc Beneteau to say farewell then I see the Olivewood Penelope model Mark had and this guitar and thought "how on earth did I miss these?" They must've been both m.i.a, being played or demo'd during the times I was out there previously. I asked Mark to play this Josie because it seemed to have a perfect neck profile and feel and he walked me to the area where it was quieter and I was just dumbfounded. At the time I didn't think it was possible for Cedar to have headroom and clarity like that and especially with the fundamental fullness I like that makes for a versatile guitar. I then asked Mark if the nut was wider because the neck felt perfect and he said "no, I just leave a bit more wood on the cheeks so it feels better in the hand, it should be 1.75", then I remember asking what the scale was because it had alot of responsiveness and when he said 25" I also was surprised because it roared in DADGAD and down to C, no lack of bass response even with light gauge and lowish setup.

I think it's good when a luthier shows you new perspectives. I almost bought the guitar right then and there because it felt way beyond what $7k normally gets you, but I had just gotten a Beneteau and had a custom Larrivee otw, too. Not to mention I was already delivering a Wingert to a friend and had my own $8k Beneteau in the car...you get past a certain $ amount in the vehicle and you start to feel a little dizzy if you have a 9hr drive ahead of you...

Anyways, I digress. Playing this again at B.I.G was awesome and I loved it equally as much as the other two (honestly, you couldn't pay me to pick a favorite in terms of tone and playability) So I must apologize if the strings are dead, that was definitely a good bit my fault!

All this said, congratulations on your new build. It's a special guitar. I'm super happy to have a custom Hatcher on the horizons for fall 2022...B.I.G definitely solidified to me that every guitar he builds has a unique soul and responsiveness to it that I think goes way beyond the $ he is asking. Enjoy in good health.
