Pedal Board IR Loader / DI
I am thinking about adding an IR loader to my new Acoustic Pedal Board. Do you mount the IR loader like the Strymon Iridium or NUX Optima Air in the signal chain last like effects into an amp or at the beginning of the signal chain?
If you went with an acoustic DI pedal instead, do I start that in the beginning or end of the signal chain? I am running a tuner into an overdrive to chorus and then delay. Not looking yet at FX loops or anything complicated. I have a Kemper for that. This board needs to be knobs only. Thanks |

I thought I would give this a small bump.

I would put it just after the tuner.

Feed the IR loader with an unprocessed signal.
That way the subsequent effects are working on the optimal guitar sound. Putting the IR later in the chain means you are applying the IR to any effects as well as the guitar sound. This might be interesting or not, but probably isn't what you are looking for.
